Duttapukur (also known as Nebadhai Duttapukur) is a census town within the Barasat I CD block in the Barasat Sadar subdivision in the North 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is part of Kolkata’s urban Agglomeration. Duttapukur is located in the city of Kolkata. Duttapukur is situated inside Duttapukur is located in the Ganges Brahmaputra delta region in the district of North 24 Parganas, West Bengal state, in the Eastern region of India. A tributary to the Bidyadhari River, known by the name of Suti is flowing through Duttapukur. Duttapukur is located 30 kilometers away from Sealdah and 35 kilometers from Howrah 7 km far from Barasat and 32 kilometers from Bongaon in the Sealdah-Bangaon section from the Eastern Railway. Duttapukur, Shibalaya, Chandrapur, Gangapur, Chalta Baria and Joypul are part of an area of Census towns that are located in the northern portion of the CD block. The entire cluster is an extremely high density of people. The total population is approx one lakh.
